Have a HP6P printer plug in the server on LPT1.The
workstation who needs to printe DOS job are using Net use
(net use \\server\hp6p). The problem is that the
workstations that works with Win98 are OK with Net use but
workstations with WinXP pro and Win2k pro are not able to
use this function. Before I change for Windows 2003 server
I was using Win2k pro on my server and everything was OK.
When I type only Net use, it says that LPT1 is UNAVAILABLE.
But i think the main problem is message i have when i do
this function --->

System error 1202 has occurred
The local device name has a remembered connection to
another network resource.

What is the meaning of this message and how can I fix
it....

I need Help.....

Thank

Did you try "net use" <enter> as previously suggested? If so was LPT1
already showing as mapped?
