Hi there,
Does anybody know what's changed in 2003 for the net send
command or the messenger service?
I have two 2003 Advanced Servers, and when I use the net
send command to send a popup, it takes over 30 seconds
for control to be returned to the command prompt.
We're using a SQL trigger to send a message to users when
certain events are added to a table. On my old Windows
2000 Server running SQL, the command executed with no
wait. Now because SQL is waiting for control to be
returned from the command line, the trigger is taking way
to long and holding up users and processes.
All other servers on my network are Windows 2000. I have
two ADS-Enabled DNS servers, and a WINS server.
Anybody have an idea or suggestion for us to try to get
this working faster?
Thanks!
