net config server - Maximum open files per session value

Hi all,
What exactly does the "Maximum open files per session" value, from
running 'net config server' refer to?

For my particular case if I open a file on the same server but use a
UNC path ( \\myserver\share$\blah ) I am opening a file through the
server service and therefore one open file closer to this limit?

I think so, opening a share from unc and network drive make the count to "2"
