Need unusual procmail filter

Normally, filters are inserted into Procmail to filter out spam. I want to
do the reverse in a way.

My ISP's filter is too harsh. Some non-spam, although not stopped, comes
with a SPAM label in the subject line, which can be embarrassing when I
reply.

Is there a formula for deleting the label?

TIA,

Doug.

<article not downloaded:
http://slrn.sourceforge.net/docs/README.offline>

Those are some screwed up headers.

Two "X-Original-NNTP-Posting-Host:" IPs?!

I'd like to help, but you really are coming across as a troll.
And I don't help trolls.

Especially trolls who want to know about mail filters, which
generally means they are planning to graduate to spamming.

Pretty good with procmail, though.

Note: I won't be downloading any articles on this thread.

Who is Alan Connor?

Alan Connor is the inventor and implementor of the final ultimate
solution to the spam problem, and everyone who dares claim otherwise
is a spammer.
That is basically the gist of the messages Alan sometimes spews into NANAE.

Alan Connor is appearently also active on many other newsgroups, including comp.mail.misc.

Actually, people don't ever ask the following questions, to my
knowledge.

Look how casually this Usenet criminal commits the worst offense of all:
Forging someone else's alias.

You'd think he'd want such an important Public Service Bulletin
to be archived.

That group exists only on the servers of Fat Mike Horwath,
otherwise known as King Troll: octanews and readfreenews.

Only trolls use his servers.

He doesn't like me :-)

Nope. Challenge-Response Systems (which is what he is referring
to) were in use long before I ever touched a computer.

Here's a brief introduction to them:

http://home.earthlink.net/~alanconnor/elrav1/cr.html

They are hated by spammers and trolls because they can't beat
them.

> X-Ac5: That is basically the gist of the messages Alan sometime

s spews into NANAE.

No it isn't.

> X-Ac6: Alan Connor is appearently also active on many other new

sgroups, including comp.mail.misc.

Well. That's where mail filters are most often discussed.

And where you obviously got the information that you then
distorted.

> X-Ac7: http://www.pearlgates.net/nanae/kooks/ac/

That website was put up by a spammer/troll who hates
Challenge-Response Systems with a blinding purple passion.

Whom I kept beating in debates on comp.mail.misc, even though he
cheated and used dozens of sockpuppets.

He hates C-R Systems because he can't beat them.

I've never even looked at the site.

The opinions of Internet vermin are of no interest to me, and
like this feeb, they have threat ratings below zero.

The site has been up for years and hasn't slowed me down a bit.

<article not downloaded:
http://slrn.sourceforge.net/docs/README.offline>

Thanks for the opportunity to tell these people about the best
troll and spam filters in existence.

They'll learn on my introductory page about the
Challenge-Response System offered by Earthlink as a part of its
standard spam fighting package, among other things.

hehe

Note: The troll is posting the article I am responding to with an
auto-poster that replies to any post I make on the Usenet with
that post.

He is using an application/utility that only a Usenet spammer
would have.

Told you trolls and spammers hate Challenge-Response Systems.

And they sure aren't very bright!

More than one, I'm afraid.

Trolls and spammers _really_ hate Challenge-Response Systems,
because they can't beat them.

They all think that they have a right to send mail to your
private mailboxes that have false return addresses on them.

They are wrong.

On the Usenet, trolls think that they have a right to send
articles to your newsreader while pretending to be more than one
person.

They too are wrong.

Note: I won't be downloading any articles on this thread.

If someone wants to discuss this subject with me, they can see
the contact page on my website. Mail from gmail, and other
anonymous servers, are not accepted.

Trolls needn't bother. Anonymous mails are silently dumped.

You can pipe messages into a script or command with procmail, like:

:0
* ^Subject:.*SPAM
| sed s/SPAM//

That's probably not exactly it but you get the idea. See 'man
procmailex' for some examples.

'man formail' might also be useful. Good luck.
