My MN-700 is in the front of the house and the office is
in the back. I get a great signal everywhere BUT the
office (bad planning). Is there such a thing as a signal
extender I can get to "boost" the signal to the back of
the house.

Hi,

Unfortunately Microsoft doesn't have any external range extender or repeater
product.

You can run an ethernet cable to an additional base station in bridge mode
or purchase a wireless access point
to extend the range of the wireless network.

D-Link has a AP/R product DWL-800AP+ it acts as a repeater and or an Access
point. The problem with an Access point is you need to run CAT5 or better
cable to it whereas a repeater just needs a power source. One thing though,
and I have been trying to get Microsoft to address this, the Microsoft MN520
(I do not know if any others have this problem or not) does not like to
associate to anything. so you could have a repeater sitting right next to
your computer and still it would try to use the base station.

Have you read this thread or other threads on the subject, Brian. This
question has been answered many times in this newsgroup. There is no way,
other than another base station set to access mode (wired) or a true Access
Point, to increase the signal range.
