Hi.

I need a router for 2 networks (plus internet) and one for 3 networks (plus
internet).

Any recommendations?

There will be about 30 computers on each network.

Thanks.

Bryce.

I suggest u to buy a product of CISCO, it's really good, but the

It depends. Depending on your campus you could go with a layer 3 switch
which could be more cost effective and scalable. Without knowing any
specifics, it's hard to suggest anything. Either post pertinent info or you
could call a local consulting company and have them come in and discuss your
options.

Hey Bryce, I think we would need some more information before we can make a
good recommendation.

I agree with Giuseppe on the Cisco routers, but the exact model and
configruation would depend on the exact network. In particular, how is the
Internet connection coming in? Do you need a WAN interface with built-in
CSU/DSU for a T1 or does your provider just drop an Ethernet interface to you
(like a DSL or cable modem)? Next I would look at your security requirments.
Are you going to put a firewall in place? If so, you might be better off to
route your networks using the firewall interfaces and just get a small router
to handle the Internet connection and the connection to the firewall.

You can call me if you like if you want to discuss your options. I love
talking about this kind of thing.

One with enough interfaces for the networks used would be my choice.

You'll need to decide a lot of this on your own. Your description has
no specifics that would make any one brand or model significantly a
better choice than another. So you'll have to start researching and
calling vendors.
