Need a policy popup windows before logon access

Hi everyone,

I need a pop-up window that states our usage policies before someone can log
onto their system. I need them to have to click an "Accept" or "I Don't
Accept" option to log onto the system. If they don't accept the usage
policies then they don't got to log onto the system.

Any ideas on how to do that? Any third party products? I need this to work
across our entire enterprise. We are running a Windows 2000 domain (some to
be Windows 2003 DCs) and win2k and XP Pro. workstations.

Thanks for any and all help.

Clayton,

Set up a GPO (preferrably at the Domain Level) and you can set it in:
Computer Configurations > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local
Policies > Security Options. It is called "Interactive Logon: Message text
for users attempting to logon"

Thanks for the reply Allen.

Do you know if it will give me some kind of "Accept" or "I Don't Accept"
option?

Usually the policy reads in such a way that clicking OK is acceptance of the
policy, otherwise they are directed to discontinue use of the system
immediately.

Do you know of something that will NOT let them on if they don't accept the
usage agreement?

The only way they can get to the logon dialog is by clicking OK, therefore
they must accept your terms.

So far I can't get it to work. I created a GPO and linked it to an OU and
put my PC in that OU. I then edited Computer Configurations > Windows
Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options > "It is
called "Interactive Logon: Message". I rebooted my XP Pro workstation and
it didn't work. I then linked the GPO at the domain level and rebooted my
XP Pro. wrokstation and it still didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks for any
input.

I just got it working. It looks like you have to define "Interactive logon:
Message title for users attempting to log on" as well.
