Need old firmware for SMC 7004AWBR

Anyone got any good stable fireware for this router. It is constantly
dropping my connection and I need to power cycle the modem everytime in
order to go back up. And the connectivity will only last like 15 mins and
will drop again.. I just upgrade to the newest firmware and seems like this
might had cause it. I initially have the same problem but it occur like once
a day, not is is like every 15 mins.. Anyone got any older firmware or know
where I can dll it. If you have any firware, feel free to send it to my
email. Any help is appreciated.

I have never had that model, but I've heard that some of the SMC routers
are heat sensitive. I repositioned mine so that it had better airflow.
It started acting flaky on a hot summer day, and I realized that the little
feet had slipped off the edge of a box that it was sitting on, so there was
no airflow underneath.

Some folks encourage taking the rubber feet off and putting it on a metal
cookie sheet or something like that to provide better heat conduction.

I use a s10 inch scrap of steel 2X4 [u shaped] as a stand. Has worked fine
in the heat of Hawaii for months now..
