Need networking help!

I have an older pc running widows 98 and a laptop i
just bought running mellinaum. Mell has networking on
it for the home but the progam want too be the server.
I just need to know how to make the home pc with 98 the
server on the pc in control....... any helpp is greatly
appeciated.
