Don't know where else to turn so I posted this here.

I have been in an environment totally dominated by analysis, the IT manager
to everyone else in IT is a developer.
My problem is none of them document anything an when I express my need for
information it is shrugged off. This has been going on for approximately 6 to
7 years, it all hit the fan today and now I need some thing to prove to
upper management that my request for information is not a control freak issue
or a power struggle issue but is part of the industry standard.
Can anyone give me a run down on what information would be important and
necessary for a Network and system administrator to adequately do their jobs?
So as to not effect anyone's response I have intentionally not stated what
information it is that I have request from the analyses.
I thank all of you who responded to this, I have to figure out if I maybe to
demanding or the analyses are to a@$l.

Wow I feel your pain, do not know how you have managed for the past 6 years.
I would start here
http://www.iso.ch/iso/en/CatalogueLi...=20&scopelist=
Tell your bosses that if you ever want to pass an iso certification audit
you will need all these proccess in place.
