I am trying to find a libnet 1.1.x RPM that contains a shared object
libnet.so version of the library rather than just libnet.a, for either
Fedora Core 1 or Redhat 9.
I can find Debian and Suse versions, so it's possible to build such a
beast, but all of the FC1 and RH9 rpms seems to have only libnet.a.
I tried building my own from source but that appears to only build a
libnet.a as well.
So what obvious clue am I missing here? Is there some configure
option that I'm missing when I build it, or did the Debian and Suse
guys have to modify the build to create the .so?
It's been a good 10 years since I've had to mess around with C so I'm
stumbling around like a drunken idiot at the moment trying to dredge
up deeply buried memories about gcc options, ar, etc.
Thanks for any help.
