Hi all,

Kinda sick with this problem for quite some time already. I have this
Windows 98 client that keep disconnecting from the server (few times a days).
The others Windows 98 and Windows XP Pro client seems ok. The server DNS and
WINS server is already up and running well. But just can't figure out why
that only one client face this problem (all setting applied is the same).

Please, need some experts advise here.

What are the exact symptoms of the disconnection?

Hi there,

The symptons of disconnection are such as I will get unable to browse the
network message when i try to open the network neighborhood\entire network.
Besides, the others Windows 98 and XP client which join to the same domain
will be able to connect to each other except that disconnected PC.

That's just browsing, not connection. Do you still have an IP address? Can
you ping the DC by IP address? By name?
Is DNS set up to do lookups to WINS, and do all computers use only the
internal DNS server IP (no public IPs)?
