Are you sure that you're looking at the right network adapter in
Winipcfg?
Is there a protocol other than TCP/IP on your network? There would
have to be to let the Win98 2nd Ed. PC access other PCs when it
doesn't have an IP address.
Try removing and then adding the TCP/IP protocol in Control Panel |
Network.
