need help with smc2755w

As the subject reads, i need help, I work for the south shore district
health authority in Nova Scotia Canada, we have a SMC2755W that was
purchased without the original default password set, so 5up will not
work, i have tried to reset the password with no resaults besides the
IP being reset i am connection to it through a Linksys 5 port switch,
the configuration program finds it fine, but the password will NOT
reset.

If anyone has any ideas, please tell me
