I need help setting up a Machine as a PDC to act as a file server for a LAN
of XP and Win2K machines and as a web server. (Linux is Fedora Core 1. I
have Core 2 but reluctant to try installing it and then be unable to get the
network operational again)

Currently I have the LAN operational and have set up a Domain on each PC but
I am not sure how to set permissions correctly.
It seems at the moment that PCs on the domain can still log as a WORKGROUP
if they set the workgroup name to the PDC Domain name.

The other issue is I am not sure what I need to do to get Apache running. I
have coipied the web site files to a directory but not sure what needs to be
set up

Any help appreciated.

Read the Samba-howto and the samba documentation.

Yes, this is the standard.

Start it up. Is already configured. Read the documentation on
httpd.apache.org
