Need help with getting access to network computers

I can't view the files of all the computers on my network from all of the
other network computers.

I have an XP desktop wired connection to the Microsoft base station.

I have another XP desktop that has a Microsoft network adapter and can
connect to the internet via the base station.

I can view all the files on the wired computer from the wireless computer
and move files. However, when I try to access the files from the wireless
connected computer from the computer connected to the base station I get an
access denied error message. I have set up all the files for sharing on the
wireless computers so I should be able to share them.

Also, I just bought a laptop with Vista. I can see and share the files from
this computer that are in the Public folder on my wired desktop but get the
access denied message when I try to open up any of the other folders or the C
drive.

I disabled all firewall software on the laptop. I have Mcafee on both
desktops.

Help

You need to make sure they are all in the same Workgroup.

Right click on My Computer on each of them and ensure they are all members
of the same Workgroup.

I did this and all my computers are in the same work group. I can see
computer A files from Computer B so there is networking. I just can't see
computer B files from computer A. I did get a message that Computer A could
not ping Computer B.

Make sure File and Printer Sharing is enabled on both and remember to give
permissions to something on B so that it is shared.

I found the problem. My McAfee anti virus software would not let me ping the
computer that I could not share. I checked the allow ping box in the McAfee
software for this computer and I could now completely network this computer
to the others.
