Need help to develop a router in c++

Greetings all,


i am doing project in distributed environment ,so i need to write a
router in c++

i know the basic idea about router, but i confused in where we start to
write a code..

give a some guidence its help my project...

Well ! You are probably more interested in looking for the sources of
routing daemons already existing.

Look for Quagga or Zebra

It's true. Just look inside the sources of Zebra, you need to know the
"logic building algorithm" inside that. Did you try "Linux IPv6 Router
Advertisement Daemon (radvd)" for IPv6 and BIRD?
