I need to get away (far away)

Greetings,
I just returned a Linksys wireless G router because I couldn't go more than
25' and a wall away with my Dell Inspiron 8600 without loosing the signal.

Q 1. What wireless G router has the best signal strength?
Q 2. I have another notebook that needs a card, so I would like to know
which PCMCIA card would give the best reception?

My Linksys WAP54G had pretty good range in an office environment.

I am quite happy with the Orinoco, but stayed with b, due to the high power
draw of the g devices.

Dell has the Orinoco "Gold", with external connector. $49, sometimes less.
