Hi,

I need a way to enumerate (count and compare) user accts on our two (2)
domains. I'm looking for a way to find if we have duplicated user accts
between our two domains before we roll out Exchange 2003.

Anyone know of any commands or free utilites that will do it? Thanks for
your help.

Clayton

Dumpsec from SomarSoft is a free tool that may be able to do what you want
with the dump users feature. Otherwise if you are using Windows 2003 or
using the adminpak for Windows 2003 on a XP Pro domain computer you can do
such with the AD command line tools. Dsquery user for instance would work.
Open up the command prompt on a Windows 2003 domain controller and enter
"dsquery user" to see what I mean. You can of course define the search much
more granularly and enumerate sam names instead of distinguished names. The
links below may help. --- Steve

Check out adfind at www.joeware.net.

You should be able to dump the list of DNs and then use a basic perl matching
script to check for dupes.
