Microsoft will send them to you for free on CD.

Apparently Microsoft has terminated that deal, Carey. I'm in the same fix as
Tinkerbell; in order to network and get back to the web, my Win98 computer
needs Service Pack 2; I found KB article #239937 and called the phone number
listed there to request a CD of the Win98 Customer Service Pack [(800)
360-7561] and was told they are not sending them out any longer.

I stirred around in Update and discussion groups, etc. but I can't find a
way to download the Win98 updates to my WinXP machine; does anyone know of a
way?

Good suggestion, but, unfortunately, the Windows Security Update CD is
no longer available. That web page doesn't say why.

Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group
for everyone to see. I'm sorry, but I don't answer questions
addressed directly to me in E-mail or news groups.

instead of the update page ...go to the "windows catalog" (linked on the
update page ...you can download all updates manually

If you'd like to get a copy of mine, (as I recall in the EULA, this is not
illegal), contact me via email at (E-Mail Removed) and we'll figure
out a way to get it to ya.
