Need a pair of wireless PCI cards for my kids' PC's so that they can play
networked games (nothing fancy) and access the Internet though my Qwest /
ActionTec wireless gateway?

How good are those $10 Airlink PCI wireless cards from Fry's?

Would they mess with higher-end wireless on laptop or other PC's on the
network?

Any other suggestions?

I've got one on an older Sony Vaio laptop (266 mhz, running Win98Se) and it
seems just fine. No speed demon but I think it would be just fine for that
purpose.

I bought an airlink at frys, seems to work just fine, just does not have the
range/distance as other cards on the market. If you need a wireless
adapater with good range look on www.newegg.com as their some for sale for
$19 on there.

Yeah, I think the AirLink products are A-OK! I have some gigabit NICs and a
gigabit switch that are AirLink and they seem to work well. My friend also
got an AirLink wireless router and it does the job for him... haven't heard
him complaining about it, really.

I'd say just OK.

I've got a few of the switches. They seem to run pretty hot.
