Hello,

Could anyone suggest a decent 100mW PC Card for use in the UK with my
laptop?

It's got to have a decent software suite if possible, and also external
antenna connections (reception is quite bad in my area). Preferably with
MMCX-style connectors.

Cheers,

Rich.
P.S. I've heard the famous 'Orinoco Red' cards mentioned before but can't
find anywhere in this country that sells them.

Cisco has the best client software I have found. You should be able to find
the Cisco LMC cards around.

You mean Orinoco Gold, which in deed has a aerial connector and is renown
for best radio transmitter / receiver.
You have omitted to mention which is 'this country', but anyway they are
available worldwide,
start looking from manufacturers website www.proxim.com
Regards,
Martin

Most people are familiar with the UK as being an abbreviation for the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Not to be confused with

a) England

or

b) Great Britain

David.

BTW, original poster, yes the Cisco 350's do 100mW, the Orinoco's do not
but you'll notice little difference. I use both. In the UK, just buy
either Dell Truemobile (can't remember which one here sorry!) or Compaq
WL110, they're both just rebadged cards.
