Nearby exchange makes a difference?

My exchange is one of the ones with a recently announced trigger level of
250... at the moment though, we are only at 59!
A nearby village about 4 miles away is activating in a couple of weeks, is
this likely to lower the level for ours at all? I read that it often makes
it cheaper to upgrade an exchange when neighbouring ones go live...

Afraid not.. while it is possible to "subtend" one exchange from another if
this was going to happen in your case then it would already be reflected in
your trigger level.

Perhaps its time to consider starting a campaign to enourage people to
register an interest....
