ndis.vxd ntkern.vxd error

Hello please help. I dont want to pay $35. I just
installed a wireless network adapter in my sisters laptop
and I get this message in the device manager screen where
my the adapter is. The ndis.vxd, ntkern.vxd divice loader
(s) for this device could not load the device driver.
(code 2.) I have windows 98 ive alredy reinstalled
windows and it didnt work. Its a linksys wpc11 card ver4.

For a second question if I do the support thing do I have
to pay if they dont fix my problem.

If this unit is new and support costs money, I would return it to where ever
you purchased it and buy one that is supported by the company that makes it.

You gotta wonder about a company that won't support the very product they
manufacture and profit from...

Does your sister's laptop have Windows 98 Second Edition? Did you install
the drivers before you installed the card?

i also have the same problem, except it is a mother board
XFX NF24-ALH. and my network adapter is built into the
motherboard. I got windows98 NOT WIN98 SE. i installed the
chipset driver as instructed in the motherboard setup cd
rom. thanks Zoggy.
