NDIS.VXD, NTKERN.VXD device loaders Err Code 2

While trying to install a 3Com Etherlink 10/100 PCI NIC (3C905-TX) on Win 98
the adapter device drivers do not install and have the following error:
"The NDIS.VXD, NTKERN.VXD device loaders for this device could not load the
device driver (Code 2) Update Driver... Upon doing so and restarting the
problem still occurs?
Anyone has a compatible driver? Or these driver update files? Or any advice?
Help!!!

try rebooting to "safe mode" the remove all references of network cards

then reboot and try the install again

Hi,

I've got the same problem with an ADDON wireless g Cardbus device on a
Toshiba Tecra 780 (very old) running Win98 upgrade (over W95) - did Haggis's
advice work?
