NDIS problem Belkin 54G adapter F5D7050

Hi,

I am trying to get a belkin 54g USB wireless adapter model #F5D7050 on
Knoppix. It isnt recognised by default so I have tried using
ndiswrapper using the inf file found on the belkin driver cd.

However, I get the following error:
"The ndis module has been loaded but there is no new device. Perhaps
ndiswrapper is not working with your driver file"

Could anybody help me resolve this? Please be gentle - I am quite
inexperienced with linux!

Did you solve this problem? I am having same issue...

No - sorry

It could be worth checking to see if the Belkin USB device is being
detected at all, if you haven't already.

Try typing 'lsusb' as root to see if there's a Belkin
device listed. I get something called 'Belkin Components' listed. If it's
not there, the problem is more likely to be with the USB setup rather than
networking configuration.

Just an idea.
