I have a wired pc WIN 98 setup using the mn-500 kit. My
problem is receiving files from the internet.

I have no problem sending large files as I have amazing
speeds. My major problem is receiving files as its like a
snail speed.

My latest speed results from the internet:

2004-04-13 11:57:09 EST: 25 / 362
Your download speed : 26250 bps, or 25 kbps.
A 3.2 KB/sec transfer rate.

What has the NAT or firewall features is stopping me?

Please any assistance you can provide will help me out.

Mark

Run MS-DOS and enter tracert cnn.com (any web site will
do). It will show the sites it goes through. See the
response times. If there are * its not responding. Repeat
several times, and see which node is failing.

Also check for virus and malware on the computer.

The NAT or firewall do not slow the network signficantly
(and not to the level that you are seeing). Either
something is misconfigured on the PC or the router, there
is a slowdown in the Internet access, or some virus is
eating your bandwidth.
