Hello,

I am looking at NAP for security reasons. I have seen the options to check
if AntiVirus or AntiSpyware software is installed and up-to-date.

I was wondering which AntiVirus or AntiSpyware software packages are
supported by NAP.

Can someone answer this question?

Hi,

If the AV or antispyware application registers with Security Center, then
you can use the built-in health agent (Windows Security Health Agent) to
monitor whether the AV application is turned on and that it has recent
updates. In other words, if Security Center says that your AV is out of
date, then this status can be reported and used with NAP. If Security Center
can't find your AV application, then NAP won't work with the built-in health
agent.

You don't necessarily have to use the built-in agent, however. AV vendors
are writing their own system health agents (and system health validators for
the server-side). Mathieu has provided a link to NAP partners, which lists
some of the current AV vendors that are planning to create customer system
health agents/validators.

I hope this helps.
