W2K SP4 Active Directory
Occasionally we get an issue where users are unable to connect of some of
our Windows 2000 Citrix servers - never the same one - but a reboot fixes the
problem
when I check the sys event log I see event id 4329 'another machine has
sent a name release message to this machine probably because a duplicate name
has been detected on the network'
When I do an nbtstat -n I see this
Name Type Status
---------------------------------------------
CP-11 <03> UNIQUE Conflict
(CP-11 is a username !)
That user and in fact no users have machines that are called the names of
the servers - so not sure what is happening here !
I've checked the IP of the server given in the Event ID 4320 - and it is
always a DC in another site - it has no WINS entries for the servers in
question
Has anyone any ideas !
