I have a phone/answermachine (one machine) in the attic and that runs
off the splitter to my ADSL router. And an extension phone on the first
and the ground floor.
I've tried this with microfilters on all phones and just the attic -
smae problem.
If you know of some linux software you could just tell me what it is and
I'll install it.
If it works, good, if not, I haven't lost anything by trying.
No noise on any of the phones It's only on the answermachine playback
and, as I said, I've tried (new) several answermachines, all BT
approved, all with the same problem.
I've tried the isolation method you suggest and it had no effect (ie
still inaudible playback. Playback only works properly if the router is
unplugged and - yes - I've tried 3 diferent routers and same problem.
Basically if someone out there know of any software (if it exists at
all) can you just give me the name.
NB I'm asking if there is some software that can do this NOT software
plus extra hardware for the Linux box.
