network adapter after some Hair pulling I finaly got the two talking
and can now collect e-mail and surf the net though this wireless
connection Good so far

Now the bad news

I used the same USB adapter and installed the Drivers on my laptop the
connection showing the two monitors in the system tray shows a good
connection (packets going but none coming??)

but carn't log on to e-mail or surf the net ... keeps asking me for a
dial up also I am not getting the same Icon in the Syst tray on my
Laptop as I am getting on my PC must be somethig stupid I am doing
with the settings ??

any Help would be gratefully received

Open Internet Explorer. On the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options.

Click on the "Connections" tab. Click on "Never dial a connection", then
"Apply".

That should stop your computer from trying to dial out.
