Sorry,..the original post consists of only 3 sentences. I have no
information to be more specific.
I would have to know exactly how the VALNs are configured and how every
involved Switch and Router is individually configured configured to know
what might be wrong with the VLAN.
I would have to know exactly how the DHCP Server is setup both at the
network level and at the DHCP Service level (mainly how the scopes are
configured) to know if there is anything wrong with the DHCP Server.
But there are a few things I can list....
The DHCP,..it is best to just have one Nic with one IP# and "live" only on
one subnet. It should be configured with separate distinct Scopes for each
subnet (no Superscopes!)
The LAN's router needs to be configured to forward DHCP Queries either to
the subnet that the DHCP is on or forward directly to the DHCP Server itself
(depends on what the router is capable of).
The VLAN's,...I can not deal with that,..it is way too complicated to deal
with in an email message. It would already be hard enough to do if I was
physically there and could see the individual configuration of all the
device with my own eyes. I'll just have to leave it to you to determine
that that is correctly configured.
