My network places disappeared in windows 2003

My network places disappeared in windows 2003. Whats going on? Cant even
see this computer from another computer on the network. I did run SCW but
have removed it and disabled firewall. Still cant see it

Is the icon gone from your desktop, or is it there and you can't see any
computers? if the icon is gone, then right click on your desktop/properties.
Then go to desktop tab, and click on customize desktop. Check Network
Neighborhood and it should show up.

it is already checked. i also went to explorer and tried tobrowse network
places but cant see it there either
