Hello all, I will be moving to Australia in a few weeks time and was
wondering if there is any point in taking my broadband modem and
router? I have an ADSL modem with wireless router. I also have a
cable modem. ADSL and cable broadband are both available in Australia.
While I'm asking, does anyone know if my Sony Ericsson K750i will work
with an Ausie SIM?

Modem and router, yes - with the usual mains power caveats.

Phone - probably. GSM is standard throughout the world - except Japan, IIRC?

The USA is funny too. Ithink you need a tri-band cellphone for compatability
there.

Not a man I'd want to have with a finger on
the nuclear trigger, for starters.
Or his boss for that matter.

Your mobile will be fine as Aussie Land uses GSM 900 and GSM 1800, same
as virtually most of the world except North America, a couple of South
American countries and a couple of other countries.
