My extrenal Internet connection down(cable disconnected), will my intranet should work right?.

Guys:

I have my hosting site www.xyz.com from local ISP, due to cable
problem, My external web site is down, I can't access anymore of my
website www.xyz.com, but we have all our local documents on
home.xyz.com, will that work?. I have my local web server in the
office, I have all of my docs there, Will it work incase of external
site is down?. Here all machines are Linux machines. all comuters are
on local LAN, how to differentaite if one of the client machine try to
access www.xyz.com (external site) and other client machine try to
access home.xyz.com (local web site), how do I have to configure?.

Yes, exactly my setup is like the above diag, if the cable is down,
then my intranet will work>, that means home.xyz.com should work
right...
