Stupid question, as its a wireless access point but something fishy is going
on.

I have a wired network with the connexant DSL router + 4 port switch. In one
port I have the belkin F5D6130.

My wireless laptop can make all manner of connections and pings without
problem,
BUT the wired machines CANNOT ping or connect to the laptop even though it
can to them!

arp on the wired linux box and windows pc show that the F5D6130 is passing
through packets with the laptops MAC address (which is right) - in fact at
one point I just plugged the F5D6130 into the back of the linux box to skip
the connextant.

But always the same problem, connections or pings initiated from the wired
network NEVER reach the wireless laptop, but the wireless laptop can reach
them.

How can this be?

Sam

We all do it.
I change settings to run in local mode and forget. Then try to get
another setup to run.
Thank god I have a check list.
I run down it, much like a pilot taking off.

regards,

Hemlock (getting old, didn't mind losing my hair, but my mind was
another issue)
