Many thanks for your suggestions.
The AC adapter is in a wall socket and the DC plug is fully inserted
in the router DC jack. Both the AC adapter and the router are fully
exposed and I have tried the router in several different positions.
I wondered too if the AC adapter or the lead might be failing.
However, is it strange the fault is so intermittent as I can go two
days without any loss of connection and then find it necessary to
switch on and off at the wall three times in half an hour after which
it is perfect for days again.
