Hi, I have Windows Small Business 2003 installed but I didn’t configured the
exchange, and I’d like to know if its possible to windows, to block e-mails
sent by a MAC.
Is there any security question that I have to configure? The server is
connected to a router, but I don’t have firewall, is the internet traffic or
e-mail traffic from the LAN computers filtered by Windows Server 2003?

Thanks

Hi - the best newsgroup for SBS is microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs

Why not?

Block email through what, exactly? To the Internet? Via what means? You can
configure a firewall (which you should have....) to block access to the
internet on whatever ports you wish, for specific LAN IPs. ... so, you could
prevent a workstation from accessing port 25 (SMTP) if all it could get to
was ports 80 and 443.

Ah, but that's very unwise.

Internet: If you use ISA, maybe, but not in SBS Standard.
E-mail: Your server apparently doesn't handle your email at all.

This makes no sense. E-mail is not a "file."

You are talking about a Macintosh, and not a MAC address, right?

I suggest you post in the SBS newsgroup - and you might consider engaging a
consultant to come in & help you out with your setup, if you're not sure how
to proceed. I do suggest you install Exchange.
