Is it possible to set up my internet browser to use any of the 2 NICs
installed in my pc?

We're using 2 internet gateways but we're not using proxy servers so
basically we're directlly connected to the internet. I want some client to
use 1 gateway for internet browsing and the other for downloading.

Can this be achieve by using 2 NICs on the clients and how?

What else can be done if this is not possible?

Thank you

The only way to get one group of users to go out one connection and others
another is with policy routing (which has nothing to do with 2 NIC's)

what I actually wanted to happen is one group of users to use 1 browser lets
say IE and do internet surfing there and the same users to use another
browser lets say Firefox and do downloads there. The two browsers should run
on different gateways. Is this doable?

It's possible, but it would be a nightmare to configure/troubleshoot. You
would need multiple proxy servers, still have to do policy routing, or
segment and change routes, blah, blah, I don't even like typing it. I would
suggest NOT doing it.

It can be done very easily with proxies; if you cannot install proxies on
your 2 LANs, the only way is to use Qbik's rather expensive WinGate. Tha one
allows you to route your Internet traffic whichever way you see fit.
