Hi,

I'm using Windows Server 2003 Enterprise(64-bit trial/beta) edition for my
PC. This PC is going to be a new server. I have installed Active directory
and
created some IPSec policies.

This machine has 2 NIC's, NIC-1 and NIC-2. NIC-1 will connect to existing
network. NIC-2 will act as a DHCP server for some new clients. I have
configured
the DHCP server on this NIC-2.

Now, I heard that the traffic of NIC-1 and NIC-2 can mix with each other
and this can be avoided by using "Routing and Remote Access" tool in
Windows Server 2003.

I have no idea how to use this tool as I have never used it before.

Could you please let me know the best starting point to know more about
using "Routing and Remote Access" tool.
If you have any other suggestions and tips for my situation.. kindly let
me know.

Cheers,

Naveen.

No.
Run one Nic.
There are times for duel Nics,...this isn't one of them.
You cannot "configured the DHCP server on [a certain Nic]",..it doesn't work
like that.

If you want to configure the Server as a "LAN Router", then it uses at least
two Nics on different subnets, but you haven't stated that you want to do
this, and in any case if doesn't really have anything to do with DHCP at
this point.
