I am using a laptop both at home and at work. at home and
at work i have wireless networks. is there any way to set
up multiple networks to avoid haveing to change network
settings each day at work and then again when i get home

No, but a program like NetSwitcher will make it a bit less painful. Search
google.com or download.com for similar programs.
