Hi,

Is it possible to connect to multiple ISPs on a single broadband
line?.

I am with Freeserve (on a one month free trial). I’ve been given
a free month trial on AOL using a 3rd party broadband connection. How
do I connect to AOL using the Freeserve modem?.

Thanks

Lasitha

No. Not assuming you are talking about connecting to two broadband ISP's at
the same time.

How do you mean a "3rd party broadband connection"?. BT have installed
ADSL equipment on your line at the request of *ONE* ISP (Freeserve in
this case).

Do you want to connect to an AOL account through your freeserve
broadband connection?

You can connect to an AOL account by connecting using TCP/IP instead of a
modem. You won't get the AOL broadband content though, unless they have now got
an offer that allows you to do so.
And you would have to sign up using the modem initially.

If you want to connect to AOL broadband you will have to cancel your freeserve
account.

My suggestion would be to forget AOL.

Mark.

I had an AOL dial-up account. When I called to cancel, I was given a
free month (£6.99/month after that) access to AOL broadband using my
own modem. When I received the details, it turns out that I need my
own broadband connection as well the modem.
So basically, I can have access to AOL content for £6.99 (on top of my
normal ISP charges). I don't see the point of this. I'll just say "no
thanks" to AOL.

Lasitha

I'll just cancel the AOL offer.

You should have asked them to pay you £699 to view AOL content ;-)
