Multiple Connections to VPN server

I have tried everything and read every tutorial and nowhere have I found a
resolution to this issue. I am sure I have done something stupid or forgot
something important. My problem is I have setup a VPN server for Remote
Access and can only get 1 client to work at a time. It is an extremely
simple scenario. I have workstations and a server all on the same network
that need to connection to the server to access a private network that is
connected to the server and various other servers. I have it working for 1
connection, but all other connections hang at VERIFYING USERNAME AND
PASSWORD. If I disconnect from this one and reboot the server I can then
connect from any other workstation. But once connected no other station can
connect to it. One strange thing I noticed is that when I connect to the
VPN server it obtains all availiable leases from the DHCP server. I had
this problem earlier when I didn't have DHCP setup correct and no
workstations could connect at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

1. Make sure you haven enough PPTP ports (or L2TP if using that). you can
set the number you want in RRAS Admin MMC.

2. RRAS will get IP#s for each port "ahead of time" as you have seen,...it
is supposed to do that. So you want enough ports for the job,...but not too
many.

3. Make sure you configure the DHCP Agent in RRAS. Find instructions for it
in the RRAS Help. Users cannot get additional DHCP Options beyond the IP# &
Mask without it.

4. Make sure all the user accounts that have to use this have the "dial in"
Right enabled within the user account properties.

I feel like an idiot. Don't ask me why I thought they were on the same
network. I was going through a Belkin Router that sucks and only allows 1
VPN connection to a server at a time. So, I setup a small server in my
office that us developers connect to and setup a persistant connection from
it to the real VPN server. Now it works great.

Many people have been caught out by that one! Lots of SOHO NAT devices
will only allow one or two VPN connections. But they don't give you a
warning of any sort about it. The connection just fails.
