Multiple Computer Names

I would like to have a servers shares available by using
multiple computer names. I have created the WINS & DNS
records to accomplish this and pings are successful to
both names.

Shares are only available if I use the primary computer
name; the alternate name responds with the error that A
duplicate computer exists on the network.

If memory serves this is a security setting that can be
disabled by following directions in a MSKB article, but I
can't find this article now.

Pleas read MS KB article 281308 "Connecting to SMB Share on a Windows
2000-Based Server May Not Work with an Alias Name".
