Hi all,
In order to test some multicast routing scenarios over ip/mpls network I
will be using some linux machines as clients on different network segments.
Now I would need to install some multicast tools that should help me for
testing process. Basically, I need some source capable of multicasting to
some mcast address, and I would need some mcast client capable of joining
mcast groups (IGMP v2 and v3 if possible).
Are there any tools that someone already used for similar purpose on UNIX
and that worked reliably ? I found many pointers, but very few seem solid.
I plan to look into mbone set of tools, but I am wondering if someone used
some other tools for similar purpose(maybe there are some bundled tools that
come with Linux).

To be honest, if possible, I'd try to use those tools on Solaris first
(mainly due to Solaris zones virtualization which enables me to use multiple
virtual machines without too much resource consumption).

Any info is appreciated !!
thanks for help,
luka
