Hi there!
I have a Windows 2003 Server (setup as a DC) that is multihomed ( first NIC
= 192.168.1.1 and second NIC = 192.168.20.1 ). I use MSMQ to multicast
messages to the host connected to the two subnets. MSMQ uses PGM to
multicast.
Multicasting is working if I only use one of the subnets ( disables one of
them ) and all hosts becomes member of the multicast group seen in "Routing
And Remote Access"-tool on DC and recieves multicast messages.. fine!
But when using two subnets only one of the subnets ( seems that the first
one listed when using "route print"-command ) recieves multicast
messages...why? I would like all of my hosts to recieve multicast messages
not just the ones residing on one of the subnets.
When looking in the "Multicast Forwarding Table" I can see that all hosts
shows up there but then looking in the "IGMP Group Table" I can see that the
only registered group is the group for the subnets that multicast works on,
the other one I can´t get into the Group Table...
Is there a workaround for this or is my setup faulty?
