I am considering to purchase the kit MN-820. Before I go
purchase it would like to know if anybody knows does MN-
820 or MN-700 can support multiple use of IPSec/VPN?
Since me and my wife needed to use VPN for work.

It would be useful to know which VPN clients perhaps. I also assume you mean
you both need concurrent access to different host networks? Again, with or
without the same VPN client?

Do not do it! Run! The MS routers do not allow IPSEC
throught he firewall and you have to set your machine
outside the firewall in what they call the Virtual DMZ. I
am having nothing but problems and quite honestly,
everyone has told me to just throw it away and go buy a
Linksys which allows IPSEC into the firewall out of the
box. I have been with support and escallated support for
hours, this is not worth it. Buy the LInksys!!!!

MS Go ahead and call me on this one. I would love to get
this resolved. You have my case numbers.

Well, I guess that's the "horse's mouth" ....
(no offence Chris Knapp - thanks for posting some real world experience)

I am using my MN-700 as an AP at the moment and don't have a need for VPN
traffic, but I am astonished (only a little though) that the routers dont
support IPSEC properly. Of course, slamming the PC into the DMZ is a
universal solution - although a brutally bad one. {sigh}

At least MS mice seem to work well ... (ducking now)

Hey, I write it like it is. I have been waiting for my 48
hour callback from "Escallated Support" all week. I am so
tired of having support tell me to unplug and then plug
the router and modem to try and fix this. I can get
internet fine, but the VPN is a different story. I
thought I'd be better of with MS, but not on this
occassion. I seem to be playing with this thing
everyday. I am going to buy a Linksys this weekend.
Consider this a posting... Does anyone want a MN 700
router, two desktop cards and one wireless laptop card?
Barely and infrequently used! Cheap!
