The usual 'ettiquette' is something like :
[FU's set to 'n'] where 'n' is the follow-up group, at the end of a
post. See below.
It is also usual in such cases, to post to both groups simutaneously so
both groups get to see the start of a thread which then moves to your
chosen group of preference. Be careful not to post to too many groups at
a time as this is considered bad mannered, and may have you labelled as
a spammer, moreso if the content of your post has links or references to
something you endorse.
As it is, your post starts in uk.c.h-n and moves straight to uk.t.b
which is all but pointlesss. You may as well have started it in the
latter in the first place.
The idea of cross-posting, is to target one or two appropriate groups
with the same post (so as to attract the attention of both sets of
participants) and then move the conversation off to one specific and
appropriate group to continue the thread. Any group cross-posted to
should be appropriate to the topic.
My newsreader displays headers, so I spotted this first time round,
others might not and posters will/may wonder where their replies (or
indeed the thread) have got to.
Not netcopping you, just trying to offer helpful advice so you can get
the best Usenet has to offer.
