I have the MN-500 and experience extremely slow file
transfer. I have opened up ports 6891-6900 as the help
suggests but I am still getting very slow speeds. The
documentation states the router is UPnP compliant.

Anyone have the same trouble or any suggestions?

Thanks

Actually mine didn't require opening any ports --
Messenger automatically opens the required ports on the
MN500. What happens if the ports are not open?

Are you using a recent version of Messenger? Do you have
a software firewall (ZoneAlarm, Norton)? Also how slow it
is? Notice that the transfer won't be faster than the ISP
upload speed, which typically is much slower that the
download speed.
