I am trying to get a Windows Me PC to work on a wifi network with a MS
MN-710 USB wireless adapter. Windows Me is supported, however, after I
install the software for the MN-710 I have problems. I can connect about on
time and then when I next start up the PC I get the white screen and a prompt
asking if I want to restore the desktop. When I select restore it hangs.
When I run task manager I see the explorer (not sure if it means internet or
file) is not responding. I can sometimes end this task but if I try again
the same thing happens.

If I do a restore to before I installed the MN-710 it works. After I
re-install the MN-710 the same thing happens

Any ideas?

thanks in advance

You probably should disable the active desktop. But on another note,
WindowsME itself is not a safe environment to run wifi since it only
supports WEP. This means you can be hacked in seconds and your data
and identity is at risk. Please consider upgrading everything.
